Hola!
Alright...Well my time here in Cashmere has come to an end. So I will be transferred to Yakima serving with Elder Fordham. He has been out for a transfer, so I will be finishing up the second half of his training so that will be fun! But I still don’t know Spanish and he is also new to Spanish so it will be interesting when we are talking to people. But it will be fun cause we are going to be down in the ghetto and all the sketchy parts of Yakima so I am pretty pumped about that! And we will be close to the mission home so that’s cool too! I am really excited to this next chapter of my mission, but very sad to be leaving. I have loved this area and all the members and people I have met. I will remember some of the members for a very long time. I’m going to miss a lot of people here. I honestly feel like I am saying goodbye to my home ward again. But something that one of my zone leaders said last week in a meeting we had was, "There is no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone." That has helped a lot since I heard the news about transfers on Saturday. But this next area will be awesome! Also, saying goodbye to investigators will be tough. But mostly the new member I mentioned a few weeks ago. He is so awesome! He is doing a little better, but still has not been to church since Elder Gaburel came to this area so that has been sad. But hopefully he will go next week! I’m gonna miss that guy! Anyway, it was a good week! Kinda crazy but good! I’ll talk to you all next week and update you on the new area! Love you all! Have an awesome week! Here is a pic of me pretending to eat a snake and also with some awesome members! They have been married for 70 years! It’s crazy! Elder Harman

Hola!
Aight so I forgot that last week I was at 5 months like exactly last Monday!! SO that is cool! It does not feel like I left 5 months ago. I am kinda sad, it goes by too fast. Anyway, this was a GREAT week! We had Zone conference which was amazing! So spirit felt. Then we had exchanges with the Zone Leaders which btw my ZLs are so sick! Seriously, it is so fun with them!! Then yesterday we had dinner at our bishops house and had a lesson with them and some less actives that they had invited over! It was awesome! So on exchanges I went to the ZLs area with Elder Tanner. He is awesome! But he dies this transfer (which means he goes home). So that is sad because he is the bomb! Anyway, we were just out tracting and started talking to this guy named Angelo. He was pretty cool and was just like, "Hey do you want to come back for dinner at like 5:30?" In Spanish of course. And so naturally we went back for dinner. Which was not so good. He just took a whole fish not gutted or anything, deep fried them and slapped them on our plates. Somehow I managed to choke it down. It was rough. Then yesterday after dinner we had a lesson with a new family we found. La Familia Mejia! They have three daughters one is married one is 18 and the other is 15. They are super cool! We just had a feeling to go by them last night. And we just shared the Easter video with them and talked about Jesus Christ and what a blessing he is for us. Then it spiraled into the Plan of Salvation which was awesome!! So we got talking about how because of what Christ did for us, we can live with our families again. They were kinda blown away by that. It was really cool, I showed them pics of my family and let them all look through them while we were talking. It was really cool to see their emotions about the lesson change once they saw my family. It was really awesome. Then we just bore testimony. The spirit was super strong and it was just a great reminder of why I am out here. Anyway, that is all for this week! I would just like to invite all of you to come spiritually prepared for general conference. And come with a question in mind. I know that will change the whole experience. So Transfers are coming up here soon on April 13th! I’ll probably leave but I hope not! I’ll talk to you more next week! Love you all! Elder Harman Here are some pics...that’s the fish I had to eat btw, and me and my comp straight thuggin (Also included are some photos from Zone Conference) |
