Hola hola, Aight so this week was super good! It went by faster than I ever thought possible, but it was good! My favorite part was yesterday. We had stake conference, and President and Sister Lewis spoke. Sister Lewis is so. dang. cool. She just knows so much about everything! I just want to sit down with the two of them one day and just pick their brains. They are so awesome! Anyway, sister Lewis talked about repentance and how we should look at it. She talked about how she was raised thinking it was something really bad and if you were repenting that meant you must have done something super super bad and she just had a really negative perspective on it. But she talked about how we should look at repentance as a blessing and an opportunity. And to have a positive attitude about it! It was super good! I loved it! I think today we get it the mindset that its something we should be afraid of and its some big scary thing. But, I have come to gain a personal testimony that it is nothing to be scared of. I promise. Also, here is a super good talk I recommend to you all! And for those young men out there or really whoever. Don't be afraid to repent. You can read the talk here. Also, just before I go. I came across a scripture in my studies today that I really like. It is John 16:33. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. This is just such a good reminder to us all, that we are going to have trials and things happen that kinda suck. But we also have the knowledge of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Which was not only for our sins. But for all the hard things we would ever experience. All we have to do is follow him, and everything else is taken care of for us. That is huge. Anyway, I love this scripture. Probably my new fav for now. Well, I'll talk to you all next week! Love you! Elder Zev Harman Here is a little quote of the week for ya! |
