Elder Harman didn't have time to write a group email this week, but he did answer a few questions from his Madre. Here we go:
How are things? How are the people you’ve been teaching? Things are good! We are finding some people who might have some potential, so we will see! That's a bummer things didn’t work out with Esther. How's Daniel doing? Yeah we don’t know what happened with Esther. We visit Daniel like once or twice a week. His girlfriend is still working on getting divorced though so we can’t really progress much further right now with him. But they come to church every Sunday and they love it so that’s good! How about the girl you guys found that one day? The one that is the only member in her family? Oh yeah, their grandma died so they went to Cali for like 2 or 3 weeks. They aren’t back yet and we haven’t talked to the family yet. Hopefully we can soon though! What was your biggest challenge this week? I think the hardest challenge this week was we found another super cool investigator, but now they won’t answer the phone or the door. It just sucks because it keeps happening and we don’t know when one is actually going work out. We want success so bad but every time we get close, something happens. Yeah it sucks, but hopefully something works out soon! What was your greatest success? Hmm well, on Saturday we had a goal to get 35 OYMs and we did it! An OYM is basically when you talk to someone and share something about the gospel and invite them to do something to change or something like that. Who has been your favorite person this week? My fav person was a guy named Jose who is only here for the next eight days. We met him on the street and gave him a Book of Mormon. He loved it and immediately started reading it. We came back the next day and he had read almost half of it so that was awesome! Too bad he doesn’t live here. What scripture gave you strength or had the greatest impact on you this past week? Not one specific one, but I have been reading the first few chapters in Alma and they are just awesome. They are a really good example that if we have faith and do what is right, the Lord will deliver us from our struggles.

What up?!
So this week was good! It was kinda long but really good! We just had a lot of appointments fall through and people not home when the said they would be and stuff like that, but that’s nothin new really haha. Our on-date dropped us so that was kinda disappointing. But the 4th of July was tons of fun! And we found some sick people this week so hopefully something comes of that! Not a whole lot happened this week, kind of a slower week, but it was still good! Still trying to adjust to living alone just me and my companion. We get along great it’s just weird not having anyone else there with us! But its nice cause its super clean! So on the 4th we had to be in by 6 so we had four and a half hours just chillin in the apartment. So us and the other elders played some indoor baseball, and apples to apples and just kinda chilled and talked about life. It was awesome! Then after the other elders moved out we had 4 desks in our apartment so elder Miles and I made "Quad Desk". If you have ever seen The Office you will know what that is! haha so I’ll send some pics of that! So yeah Esther, our on-date, dropped us this week. We are not sure what happened but she skipped out on both of our appointments and told us she will text us when she wants us to come by again...so that was super disappointing...she was super solid! Maybe she just needs some time to figure some things out. Hopefully that is all it is! Cause she is so cool! Anyway, I’ll keep you updated on that! Well that is really all this week! Love you guys! Talk to you later! Elder Zev Harman |
