Hey Errbody!
Well, not a ton happened this week. We tracted for days. Just trying to expand our teaching pool! Tracting is interesting. There are like a ton of white people in my area which honestly kinda stinks because it makes it difficult to find investigators. Plus, they're not very kind to us and are pretty selfish. The Mexicans are soooo much nicer to us, even if they want nothing to do with us. But anyway, tracting is fun! We found 5 new investigators this week so that is sick! We have been teaching lessons like crazy! So nothing crazy cool happened this week...we had zone training meeting this week and a couple other meetings. They were good, but I have been pretty surprised to see how much time we spend in meetings! But it’s all good I guess. I think it was harder being in the field and missing the Super Bowl than it was to miss Christmas...no offense to the fam but it was seriously hard haha! So the ward here is awesome! The members are so willing to help with everything which is awesome! They feed us pretty well too. They help us with everything! And our ward mission leader is sweet! Ummm...I don’t know what else to say...this week was kinda uneventful...but transfers are coming up soon on the 24th so that’s cool! But I will probably stay again which is good. This area is awesome!! Well that is all I got for this week...sorry if it was totally boring to read this! I’ll try and make it cool next week...Love you all! #gobroncos #godsarmy #thechurchistrue #hashtag Elder Harman

Hey all!
Aight so this week was pretty good! Not a ton happened, but it was just a good week. Every week is good I guess, sometimes there are just some that are better. Anyway, so this week Arturo (our investigator that was baptized last week) was interviewed to receive the Aaronic Priesthood!! Wahoo! So that is gonna be sick! He is going to be ordained on Sunday so we are super pumped about that! He is so awesome! He was going to be ordained this past week but he got pretty sick so he didn’t make it to church. But he asked me and my companion to give him a blessing yesterday so we did and that was awesome! It was my second blessing ever and my first in Spanish, so it was pretty intense! It was such a cool experience. So, the other day I was on exchanges with the Zone Leaders. Me and Elder Turley were tracting a little trailer park type thing in my area, just trying to find some new people to teach. We talked to a bunch of people. This one guy came to the door in like his underwear and just talked to us for like 20 min about all kinds of stuff. Then he just started showing us all his guns which were sick. He let us hold his AR-15 and some other guns. Kinda funny, missionaries chillin with an AR, no big deal. Anyway, that was not even the story I wanted to tell...but that happened. So the story I wanted to share was this. We knocked on a guy’s door named Tony; he is Mexican. He immediately started trying to bash with us about the Bible and Book of Mormon and saying we don’t believe in Christ that we worship Joseph Smith and all that fun stuff. And we didn’t bash back, but we did correct him. Cause he was wrong. So I just handed him my name tag, asked him to read it and then kindly explained that obviously we believe in Christ because that is our name of our church. Somehow people always mix that up...but then he started bringing up all this other stuff trying to bash super hard. And I started to a little bit but then I just felt prompted to stop and ask him a question. I don’t even remember what I said but he stopped bashing after I asked it. And he just stood there. He looked like he had been smacked by the spirit. And then he just said, "I don’t have time today, but will you please come by next Saturday at 2?" And we were like, uh yeah! It was awesome. It really showed us that bashing is not what works. The only way to really help people understand is by the spirit. It was an awesome experience! So that is all that happened this week. It was sweet!! But I have a challenge for you all. So when we teach investigators about praying to know if this church is true and gaining a personal testimony, we have them read Moroni 10. You have probably read it before, but I don’t care. Just read it again. And really think about what it is saying. And then do what the chapter says, pray and ask to know if it is true. I challenge you all to do this. I know you will be blessed for it, no matter how much of a testimony you have. I’ll talk to you all next week! Love you! #godsarmy Elder Harman |
