Hola a Todos!
Pues (well), this week was super good! We had the opportunity to go down to the temple in Richland and it was amazing! Then we recently just started teaching a really cool family that seems super solid so we are excited! Then we talked to a crazy drunk guy haha. We painted fire hydrants for the city in a bunch of ghetto areas so that was interesting! Oh and we had our carpets cleaned in our apartment, and now we can lay on the ground without feeling like we are going to get a disease of some kind! It seriously was nasty but now we are good! OH! And Arturo, IDK if you remember him, but President gave me some awesome news yesterday that he is doing very well and he sent me a photo of him from church! So the drunk guy. We were just walking down the street and this guy stopped us and asked us to preach to him. So we stopped and started talking to him and he was SUPER drunk. So then he kept just rambling on about random stuff. Then he asked us if we could bring him a bible and we told him yes and he started jumping up and down like a little kid, it was really sad so see what drugs and alcohol do to someone. So we started teaching a super cool family La Familia Villanueva. So for the last few weeks we have been going by and the dad kept giving us excuses for why he hadn't read and stuff like that. But then this last week we went by and he let us in and sat us down and told us how they are done giving excuses and they want to come closer to Christ and change their lives. So we were like, ha well we can do that for ya! So yeah now we are teaching them and they are praying to know if they should be baptized! So I will keep you updated on them! Alright so the temple was awesome! I seriously love going. Here is a pick of us and the zone. Anyway, I love the temple. The Lord truly does walk those halls, and you can feel it. I recently read the talk from this last conference from Elder Cook titled, See yourself in the temple. I want to invite you all to read that talk and think about it. And make any necessary changes to go to the temple. It will bless our lives forever as we keep those covenants that we make with our Heavenly Father. And think about the words of the primary song, "I love to see the temple, I’m going there someday." If you need to change anything to do so, I promise you will be blessed. I love you all so much! Thank you for all you do! Have an awesome week! #GODSARMY #JESUSISMORMON Elder Harman

Hola! Como estan a todos?!
Bueno pues, these last few weeks have been AWESOME! Sorry I didn’t send an email last week. I ran out of time. But anyway, it has been a really good last couple of weeks! Elder Fordham and I have been doing a lot of tracting just trying to expand our teaching pool and find some solid people. It has been pretty successful, we have found about 15 new investigators in the last week and a half or so. We are pretty pumped! Anyway, so not a whole lot of crazy stuff happened recently, but last night there was another shooting in our area. We were just walking back to our car after doing some tracting and it was probably like 8:50-ish and we heard a car alarm going off about a block away. And then the next thing we heard was a gunshot so that was exciting! Haha pretty crazy here in Yakima, aka. Yak-City. Aight, so something I have learned over the last few weeks here in Yakima is how powerful the Restoration is. Like seriously it’s crazy! Every time I even just think about the story of Joseph Smith I can feel the power through the Spirit. It is crazy! Anyway, it has strengthened my testimony so much just being able to teach about it. At least once a day we talk to someone who is completely ignoring us or not really listening or straight up doesn't want anything to do with us. But as soon as we start talking about the Restoration, the situation completely changes and I can feel the spirit working on them. And I can see the change in their eyes and body language. It is just incredible. And also at times heart breaking to see as agency and the adversary step in, even for a second, and completely change the whole situation. But no matter what I can always feel the spirit testifying that what we are saying is true. It is so amazing and I am so blessed to have this opportunity to share that with people. Seriously though, think about it. A 14 year old boy with basically an elementary school education, and working on a farm, just had a simple question. Which church is true? And well, you know the rest. But I want to leave you all with a challenge. And I would love to hear back about it if you choose to try it out. But I challenge all of you to read the Joseph Smith story again. And really ponder and think about it. And then ask God if it’s true. Cause he will answer you. He answered a 14 year old farm boy. And he answered me. And trust me before my mission, I didn’t really care, but I wish I had. And I don’t care if you think you know it’s true already. Anyway, just want to leave that with you all. Well I’ll talk to you next week love you all! #JESUSISMORMON Con muchisimo Amor, Elder Harman |
