Hola! So this week was petty interesting to say the least. Lots of weird stuff happened. We talked a guy out of suicide. That was pretty sad, but glad we could help. Then we talked to a guy who is loaded, just living in a super trashy apartment. He told us how we can retire after working for just 7 years. Pretty nuts. Then we met a guy who we are pretty sure is possessed. He is crazy and when we were by him the spirit was completely drained...crazy stuff! But IDK what else to write about honestly. But something we talked about in church this week was the importance of testimonies. And the power behind them. Our testimonies should be the thing we cherish the most. We talked about how important it is to share our testimonies with others as well. By sharing with others, we help them grow. And each time we bear testimony ours strengthened as well. I know that is true. Every time I share my testimony with anyone, I can feel it being strengthened. I am so grateful for the knowledge of the gospel that we have. I have so glad I have been able to be out here for the last 11 months serving our Savior. I want to challenge all of you to share you testimonies with at least one person this week. If you don't think you have a testimony about anything in the gospel. I promise you do. I didn't think I did either. Anyway, that was random again. Have a good week everyone! Love you all! What it is?! So this week was pretty sweet! We had Zone Conference on Tuesday, so that was cool. That’s always a revelatory experience for sure. Then we had some awesome lessons with some of our most solid investigators! Then we helped one of our investigators lay cement at his house! That was super cool! I had never done that before. He is awesome, his name is Raul Garay. I talk more about him in the recording if you wanna know more. Then we had exchanges with the ZL's on Saturday. Those are always fun. I went to their area for the day. It was the first time I have worked in an English area so that was kinda weird. Every lesson was in English and I found out I am terrible at teaching in my own native tongue, so that is great! Haha kinda cool though I guess! But yeah, that is a little bit about my week! I talk more in the recording. Well these last few weeks my testimony has changed a ton on the power of prayer. Prayer is so simple. But so powerful and can literally change us. It is just a conversation that we have with God. It’s so basic, but the significance of it is life changing. When we pray our relationship with God is strengthened and we can feel his presence in our lives more. It is something that I wish I had done more before my mission. I just want to invite all of you to look at how your prayers are and see how you can better them. And if you don’t pray every day, start. I promise it will change your lives and help you with whatever it is you might need. That’s all I’ve got for this week, but I love you guys! Have an awesome week! Elder Zev Harman |
