Hola!
Aight so I forgot that last week I was at 5 months like exactly last Monday!! SO that is cool! It does not feel like I left 5 months ago. I am kinda sad, it goes by too fast. Anyway, this was a GREAT week! We had Zone conference which was amazing! So spirit felt. Then we had exchanges with the Zone Leaders which btw my ZLs are so sick! Seriously, it is so fun with them!! Then yesterday we had dinner at our bishops house and had a lesson with them and some less actives that they had invited over! It was awesome! So on exchanges I went to the ZLs area with Elder Tanner. He is awesome! But he dies this transfer (which means he goes home). So that is sad because he is the bomb! Anyway, we were just out tracting and started talking to this guy named Angelo. He was pretty cool and was just like, "Hey do you want to come back for dinner at like 5:30?" In Spanish of course. And so naturally we went back for dinner. Which was not so good. He just took a whole fish not gutted or anything, deep fried them and slapped them on our plates. Somehow I managed to choke it down. It was rough. Then yesterday after dinner we had a lesson with a new family we found. La Familia Mejia! They have three daughters one is married one is 18 and the other is 15. They are super cool! We just had a feeling to go by them last night. And we just shared the Easter video with them and talked about Jesus Christ and what a blessing he is for us. Then it spiraled into the Plan of Salvation which was awesome!! So we got talking about how because of what Christ did for us, we can live with our families again. They were kinda blown away by that. It was really cool, I showed them pics of my family and let them all look through them while we were talking. It was really cool to see their emotions about the lesson change once they saw my family. It was really awesome. Then we just bore testimony. The spirit was super strong and it was just a great reminder of why I am out here. Anyway, that is all for this week! I would just like to invite all of you to come spiritually prepared for general conference. And come with a question in mind. I know that will change the whole experience. So Transfers are coming up here soon on April 13th! I’ll probably leave but I hope not! I’ll talk to you more next week! Love you all! Hola Mis Amigos!
Well this week was really good! Nothing crazy exciting happened but it was good! We have been doing a lot of finding, trying to find new people to teach and stuff so that has been fun! Tracting is interesting in this area. And it is kinda tough in Spanish but I am starting to get a little better at the language I think...haha idk it’s really hard sometimes! It’s coming along slowly... So last week was super hard but this week has been MUCH better! We have been visiting the member I mentioned last week and trying to help him overcome the things he’s having a hard time with. It was really cool, we shared the analogy of Jesus with the black sheep with him and he really liked it and I think he really understood the connection. And then the other day he told us he prayed one night for a really long time asking for forgiveness so that was really cool! He still didn’t feel like he could come to church this Sunday so he didn’t. We tried to help him understand that church is for sinners and that everyone is at church because they are sinners, and that if we were perfect, we wouldn’t need to go to church. But we are going to keep working with him and help him just feel loved cause that is the most important thing for him right now. That is something I have learned since I have been out. Is having a love for people. I mean, back home I feel like I was pretty good at it for the most part. But it’s different now. I have really learned to have a love for people that I literally know nothing about. I don’t know how it is possible but it’s crazy. I don’t know how Christ did it but He was truly amazing. The amount of love He had for everyone is such a great example. And because of that love, He suffered and died for us, that we may overcome death. So during this Easter season, take a minute and think about all Christ did for you. And if you haven’t already, check out the new website the church put out for Easter. It’s sick. I gotta go but I love you all and thank you for all you do for me! Have an amazing week! Elder Harman PS - Here are some pics of me and my comp being dumb...and our district after district counsel! |
