Hola! Hey everyone!! This was an awesome week! I don't have tons of time to write very much but you can listen to my recording. Anyway, the Reyes got baptized! The font was ready by Saturday so we went through with it. It was amazing! They are so awesome. Nothing else really happened this week. We were just trying to get everything ready to go for the baptism. But we did have interviews with president and his wife so that was good. That's really it. I gotta go but I love you all, have a good week! Elder Harman ps. Just a fun fact for ya. I'm not sure where this came from, but apparently Omak, Washington was the last place in history that LDS missionaries were tarred and feathered. So that's cool! haha

Hola mis amigos! Esta semana paso muy bien. Se fue bien rapido. Nunca me voy a poder entender la idea de tiempo, pero asi es. Bueno pues. Translation: This week went very well. It was very fast. I'm never going to be able to understand the idea of time, but that's the way it is. Well then. We had a bunch of meetings this week! Monday night we drove down to Wenatchee to stay the night with the Zone Leaders down there. Then we got up at 4:30 AM to get ready and drive to Yakima to be able to be there for our meeting at 9 AM. Then the meeting got out at about 5 PM, super long, and we grabbed some dinner, then left Yakima to go back to Wenatchee. Then when we got to Wenatchee we drove from there to Brewster to stay the night with the elders there. Then drove home to Omak Wednesday morning. Then we spent Wednesday planning for zone leadership council where we teach the district leaders everything we learned in Yakima. Then Thursday we had the meeting and planned for Zone Training Meeting afterwards. Then we weekly planned on Friday, then actually had ZTM on Saturday. That went super well. We just taught everyone in the zone the things we learned in Yakima. We talked about gaining motivation in the work, using time wisely, and constantly finding and how to do that most effectively. It was awesome! Our trainings worked out really well. Then we had a crazy (awesome) week with the Reyes which has built my testimony in many different ways, but especially on member missionary work. In reality we are all missionaries, some of us just have a tag. Seriously though, the members here are amazing!! So I talk more about it in my recording, but two members went and taught the Reyes just by themselves Friday night. Then their families and the Reyes went to see Star Wars Saturday afternoon, then we had a lesson that night and resolved the rest of Monica's fears and doubts. Which would not have happened if we didn't have the members there with us. Then on Sunday at church some members came up to us and were like, "Hey can you come over at 3 today? We have someone we want to talk to you about." So of course we jumped on that. They have been talking to a friend about the gospel and he asked for a Book of Mormon and they wanted help to know how to go about everything to get him to talk with us! So we helped them of course and they are going to invite him over for family home evening next week. So we will see where that goes. Seriously, the members here just make it so much easier for us. We do our own finding of course, but they do a huge chunk. This ward is the bomb.com. So I wish I would have done more when I was home. But I am going to after! I challenge you all to do the same. Its not hard. Just dont be scared. You just have to do it. So thats my challenge for ya. SHARE THE GOSPEL. It doesnt have to be a huge thing! Just do something! I would love to hear back. Thats all I got for the week! Love you guys! Elder Zev Harman Here are some photos from Mission Leadership Training. |
