Hey Everyone!
Alrighty, so this week was the hardest week I have had so far, but I will get to that in a minute. So it started super good just doing normal missionary stuff, tracting, teaching, doing a bunch of service all that jazz! And it was awesome! Me and my comp are getting along GREAT! He is so awesome! We are almost the same person, it’s kinda weird...haha anyway things are going great! So last night we were out tracting in Cashmere for like 3 hours and this same car kept driving past us and slowing down every time they went by. It was getting kinda weird, but then we were walking down a street and they drove past again and stopped a little bit ahead of us. We were kinda sketched out but we just kept walking. Then they backed up to the side of us and rolled down their windows and BOOM! A bunch of teenage girls. They starting talking to us and asking us if we were cold haha they were straight up hitting on us so we OYMed (open your mouth) them and told them we are missionaries and shared a little thought with them about Jesus Christ and gave them cards with the website to the new Easter video and told them to watch it. It was hilarious. It was the last thing I was expecting to happen. And it was the first time in 5 months either of us had been hit on so that was kinda funny haha. Anyway just thought that was kinda funny. But we turned it around and taught the gospel so it worked out I guess! Alright so now on a more serious note...so the last two weeks Arturo has missed church. He was sick one week and then I don’t know why he missed the other week. But anyway, he is having some challenges. We are going to continue to work with him and I’ll keep y'all updated. It has just been just a testimony booster for me about how important the little things are in this gospel. CPR (church, praying, reading). Without doing these three things, we enable Satan to have power and ability to tempt us. I know this gospel is true. I know that Christ lives and because he lives we have the opportunity to live again. I am so grateful for this gospel and the chance I have to serve the Lord. I have learned so much it’s not even funny, and I continue to learn every day. I’ll talk to you all more next week love you! Elder Harman

One can see the Spirit in your face, Elder, and it is glorious to see. Don't let discouragement get you down as I have seen "golden"(don't know if they still use that word) families who knew that what we were teaching them was true, but got sidelined with tithing or the Word of Wisdom, etc. If it doesn't go your way, he will know that you love him and you will have planted a good seed. That seed will continue to grow until they are ready to accept all of it. I want to share a story with you that will make you smile. One that is much like yours...but did not end the way yours did! On "D" day (diversion day) which, I believe is now called "P" day (preparation day), we had taken a bus into the city of Belfort, France. Later that night, we had to walk back home (about ten miles), so being lazy, we tried hitchhiking. A car pulled up beside us and asked us if we wanted a ride. It was not full of girls, as we soon found out! After saying yes, just as we reached the door handle, they sped off, but my companion happened to hit the back of the car as it sped off. Screeching to a halt, out jumped three of the biggest French farmers I had ever seen. They walked right up to us and the biggest one hit my companion, knocking him cold! There I was, facing three of them by myself, so the thought came into my mind (the Spirit)was to bluff them the best I could. I immediately took of my jacket, took off my shoes and socks, rolled up my sleeves, and said, "I'm waiting for you!", then stood there waitiing for the beating I was to get! I got the idea from a movie that was popular, at that time, called "Billy Jack". It was about an Ex-Green Beret hapkido expert who would do the same thing before fighting (he never lost). Needless to say, with my partner out cold, and facing a 5' 8", 165 lb twenty year old, they took pity on me and left. This only happened twice on my mission, and is an example of what happens when a missionary does not follow mission rules (Being out to late and hitchhiking). I learned my lesson the hard way!
